WHAT IS THIS?

Douring these says I'm preparing a  photoshoot for the magazine I'm working in...and because of this I'm touring different showrooms.
This usually drives me crazy cos I have the chance to see many and many shoes...
Many beautiful shoes and sometimes some pieces of freak art like this :

I mean how can the same designer (Nicholas Kirkwood) of this sort of perfection

Could have created that..."thing"??
