Together we can all help to fight cancer:

Yes my friends:
Few days ago I received an email from a girl named Jackie, who writes at the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance Blog.
The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance is dedicated to raising awareness around mesothelioma cancer and asbestos exposure. The organization has been serving mesothelioma victims and their families for over 25 years. As the organization has grown it saw the value in raising awareness about all cancers and has developed a social network with almost 70,000 followers.

Please be kind and read the post she personally wrote for ONLYSHOES:

Your Fashion and Your Mood
By: Jackie Clark
Are you someone who has found herself feeling as though she is becoming invisible? When dealing with a serious disease like mesothelioma, it is very easy to feel as though you are nothing but a series of doctors’ declarations, medications and treatments. This sense if invisibility is not good for you; as a matter of fact, if you are feeling less and less like yourself, your mood is going to plummet. When you want to get back on track of feeling like the beautiful, empowered and charismatic woman you are, it is time to look at fashion.
The first thing that you should keep in mind is that beauty and fashion are choices. They are not things that are required of you because you are a woman; instead they should be things that allow you to express yourself to the world. For instance, if you are tired of being lumped in with the label of “patient,” it is time to consider what other labels can suit you. Being fashionable is something that can make a huge difference to you when you are trying to define yourself and when you want to keep others from doing so.
Clothes are a comfort. Take a look in your closet and think about where you were when you were wearing some of them. What good memories are associated with these clothes, and how can you learn to love yourself in them? What lessons did you learn and how did they make you a more powerful person? A small amount of thought wills how you that many people have a very heightened sense of identity tied in with their clothes, so what do your clothes say about yourself?
One important thing to remember is that when it comes to beauty, you can be fashionable in any way that you please. For example, are you content with simply putting on a pretty blouse and a well-fitted pair of jeans? On the other hand, do you feel half-dressed unless you are wearing your favorite dress and the perfect pair of matched shoes? The truth of the matter is that women make different choices in their fashion. The more time you spend looking in your wardrobe, the more clothing combinations that will pop into your head and the better chance you will have of finding something that will make you feel like the fabulous woman you are.
Remember that it doesn’t take a lot of fashion sense to look and feel beautiful. You don’t have to have a front row seat to the latest runway show in Milan to stay trendy! At the very least, start with a simple item of clothing that you love. Whether it is a black cardigan that makes you feel hip and chic or a beautifully fitted sundress that lets you feel oh so feminine, you’ll discover that it can be the start of a big change for you. Accessorize accordingly, and remember that a good garment is something that can lift you right out of your blue mood.
Fashion is a fantastic way to make your mark in the world when you are tired of being invisible. Think about your favorite colors and how you can use them to paint the world you live in. Your clothes are a wonderful extension of your will, so make this statement yours and yours alone! Fashion is something cancer can never take away from you, so utilize your style to bring back out that goddess within!
